In 2023 MARIS entered a new collaboration with poet Astrid Haerens and cellist Jasmijn Lootens. This musical-literary project centered around the effects of power structures on the female body was fueled by their shared love of experimental music and improvisation. Together, they inhabit the void between poetry and music, presenting a brand new album entitled Anger's Family Tree (W.E.R.F. Records) during a JazzLab Tour in January 2024.

In The Tyranny of Temperance, the listener is invited to join on a delicate sonic trip to the darkest caves of the migraine lands. The EP resulted from the research on migraine and voice and serenades the search for a metaphor that truly captures the pain while lamenting the stigmatizing forces this condition brings. This 3 track EP is the follow up to By Virtue Of The Absurd released on W.E.R.F. records and presented during a concert tour in duo with poet Astrid Haerens.
